The Biblical Motivations Behind the Ministry of Creation Resource Foundation (Statement of Faith)
CREATOR
”For thus says the LORD, Who created the heavens… ‘I am the LORD and there is none else. And there is no other God besides Me, a righteous God and a Savior…’” Isaiah 45:18, 21
CREATION
”For in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, the sea and all that is in them..” and “the things that are made” are purposed to attest to God’s “eternal power and divine nature” Ro. 1:20
FAITH
”So faith comes from hearing and hearing by the Word of Christ.” Romans 10:17 (also Hebrews 11:1,3, & 6)
SALVATION
“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to Salvation for everyone who believes…” Romans 1:16 (Ro. 10:9-10)
GRACE
”For by Grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God…” Ephesians 2:8
JESUS
”In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God. All things were made through Him…and the Word became flesh and dwelt among us.” John 1:1,3, & 14
THE BIBLE
”All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.” 2 Timothy 3:16
JESUS’ BLOOD
“But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.” 1 John 1:7
LOVE
”Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.” 1 John 4:7
DISCIPLESHIP
“Then Jesus said…’If you abide in my Word, you are my disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” John 8:31-32 (also Matthew 28:19-20)
FUTURE
“Looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and savior Jesus Christ.” Titus 2:13
WARNING
“See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception, according to the tradition of men, ..rather than according to Christ.” Colossians 2:8
RESPONSIBILITY
”One generation shall praise Thy works to another and shall declare Thy mighty acts.” Thus God’s providence in nature and history are intended to be a witness for the Godly to declare to their young. Psalm 145:4ff
READINESS
”But sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, yet with gentleness and reverence.” 1 Peter 3:15
Jesus alone is worthy to receive glory and honor. We are called to serve Him as joint heirs living by faith in Him alone. We count ourselves crucified with Him, nevertheless living to exalt Him in everything we do (Galatians 2:20) and realizing at all times that He is at work in us both to will and to do His good pleasure (Philippians 2:13).
