You have probably seen evolutionary charts like this… but you might not have seen how to expose the faulty arguments behind them.  Those arguments have deceived many students into thinking the Genesis record is unscientific.  In reality, all a person has to do is ask some logical questions to reveal the utter foolishness of evolutionary assumptions.

You’ve heard educated evolutionists insist that it took a loooooong time… and that it was undirected by a Designer or God so it all happened by random chance… and of course, simple things got more complex -  that’s evolution in a nutshell isn’t it?

Did you get that?  The 3 absurd assumptions of evolution we’re talking about here are:

Extraordinary Time

Random Chance

Increasing complexity

Don’t forget this key piece of the discussion.

The two major evolutionary fallacies that are required to get us to this point are covered in another chapter or article.  What are they?  They are the absurd answers given by evolutionists to the questions: “how did the universe get here?” and “where did life come from?” You’ve heard those answers I’m sure.  Here they are:

The Big Bang

Spontaneous Generation

And don’t forget the simple questions you can use to reveal the ‘emptiness’ of those two supposed ‘scientific’ causes for the two most significant ‘effects’ that can lead anyone to a realization that there has to be a Creator.

#1 – Did you ever see an explosion cause an increase in the orderliness and complexity of anything?

#2 – Can you even imagine how to put life into chemicals, even if they are cleverly arranged into all the organs and systems of a now-dead corpse?

What’s really at the bottom of evolution teaching?

What is seldom mentioned to unwary and impressionable young students today is that evolutionists believe in bigger miracles than Christians ever dreamed of.  They even admit it on occasion.  And the reason their misguided faith is really nothing less than sheer gullibility is because their miracles had no adequate cause to perform them.  Nature and common sense demonstrate scientifically that any result or ‘effect’ requires an adequate cause.  By definition, the Creator of the universe that exists independent of natural substances is the only adequate “cause” for the universe and life.

But, evolutionists are religiously committed to their insane ‘faith’ because they don’t want to acknowledge the reality of their Creator.  Don’t forget that.  That’s why the apostle Paul says in his letter to the Roman Christians in the first century: “..just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God any longer, God gave them over to a depraved mind…” (Romans 1:28).

Answering the Evolutionist Arguments

So how do we expose the 3 absurd assumptions of evolution?  And do it in a gracious and sensible way?

We go into a lot of colorful and fascinating background detail in my book, “Unlocking the Mysteries of Creation,” but let’s keep this as simple as possible.  Here’s the bottom line.

Time

Does Time (millions and billions of years of it) provide a solution to evolution’s impossible dream?  Even if there really had been millions of years of existence for all of creation, there’s one thing we absolutely know about the effects of time.  Just ask the question: “have you ever heard of the second law of thermodynamics?” All processes in nature are bound by this law.  What happens to any natural object or system as you watch it exist for a long time?  It degrades.  It wears out.  It falls apart.  It deteriorates.  It follows the law of what is called “increasing Entropy.”   Evolutionists insist there ‘must be’ a natural way for the nagging problem of entropy to be overcome.  They just don’t want to face the music that only a miracle-working Creator is capable of creating a perfect world or restoring a fallen one in a “new heaven and new earth.”

Chance

What are the chances of producing orderly sequences of understandable information and systems randomly?  In their assertion that random chance is capable of evolving higher forms of life (or any kind of first life for that matter) evolutionists ignore a mountain of evidence.  It’s called “mathematical probability statistics.”  With modern analytical equipment we now know how extraordinarily complex living systems really are.  We now have no scientific excuse for believing in naturalistic evolution.  Ask, “What are the chances of letting random accidental processes produce even a simple system of information?”  Evidence of design should logically cause us to look for a designer.  To the evolutionist’s shame, he refuses to “allow a Divine foot in the door” no matter how ridiculous are his ideas about how intricately designed living beings came to be.

Increasing Complexity

When someone insists that random genetic mutations and natural selection are the process of evolving from ‘Goo’ to You by way of the zoo, you might want to ask them a question or two.  Have you seen what mutations really produce?  They are not pretty.  Thankfully they are rare.  In 5,000 years we’ve never scientifically seen what is agreed by everyone to be a single positive genetic mutation.  It’s clear there isn’t enough time for mutations to do their ‘magic’ even if you had billions of billions of years to arrive at a world full of amazing creatures.  How do you produce a system like a caterpillar turning into a butterfly by way of random mutations?  And when you consider that ‘natural selection’ is only capable of eliminating unfit offspring (the so-called “survival of the fittest”), it says nothing about the ‘arrival of the fittest’ in the first place.  You can’t get “more information” from “less information.”  Someone with intelligence and a high degree of technical skill has to ‘engineer’ biologically increasing complexity.  To believe that bacteria evolved into worms and worms evolved into reptiles and reptiles evolved into birds (and eventually man) is not supported by ANY facts of science.

Evolution is a belief system that is totally devoid of scientific support.  Those who insist on it are doing so only because they choose to reject the Creator.  Typically, they have distorted concepts about God and some kind of attitude that resists acknowledging their personal accountability for their actions.

So why do so many people choose to believe in evolution?

The apostle Paul spelled it out very plainly in a prophetic word about the future that applies very well to what we see going on right before our eyes today.  In Paul’s second letter to the Christian believers in Thessalonica (2 Thes. 2:10-12)

“…because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.  And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.”

Would you say that the belief in evolution qualifies for “a lie” that condemns them to their own just outcome if they choose to reject the truth of God?

TRUE SCIENCE IS

• Observable
• Demonstrable
• Repeatable

Observation is absolutely essential for the practice of ‘Science.’  And there are many things outside of that sphere like history and angels and prayer and God Himself.
 
Does science contradict the Bible?
 
Some feel that God’s Word and His world could conflict.  Keep in mind that the Bible makes no apology about the supernatural origin and operation of the natural world.  The straightforward narrative of creation in Genesis was approved by Jesus Christ and by the apostles who wrote the New Testament.  We must be careful with what we accept as science.  True science will not contradict the clear teachings of the Bible, but miracles described as actual events, by their very nature, are understood to bypass the limits of what science is typically able to observe.
 
SCIENCE MYSTERIES
 
Despite all the work that has been done in all the science disciplines, there are major enduring problems.  What is electricity?  What is light?  What is gravity?  Why do these phenomena behave so consistently?  Some features of these things are known but not the basic “why” behind them.
 
CAUTIONS FOR SCIENCE

• There are many special disciplines (niches) of science.  Being an authority in more than one realm is impossible for most men.  So, many scientists are unaware of the assumptions in other areas outside of their specialty.
• Scientists are real people; they are inclined to have the same human weaknesses and biases as non-scientists.  They are just as prone to sin, denial, deception and bad attitudes toward God.
• Scientists who wish to be credible must be cautious not to make broad declarations on issues of religion or human spiritual matters in the name of science.
• When scientists do say things about origins, supernatural powers and spiritual things, you should be careful to examine and challenge them.  Ask for their basic assumptions about God and origins.  Theories are not facts!

What is a theory?
 
The average person may suppose a theory is like a hunch or a guess, but scientists regard theories as accepted principles or concepts that stimulate research to explain natural phenomenon.
 
Have scientists been proven wrong?
 
False ideas have commonly been promoted by scientists of the past only to be discarded by their descendants.  You can probably think of many examples like:

• The geocentric theory of astronomy
• The idea that bloodletting is appropriate medical procedure for reducing fever
• Embryonic recapitulation (the theory that human embryos develop by evolutionary stages of animal ancestry)
• Phlogiston was believed by 17th and 18th century scientists to be the magical ingredient of all combustible things that enabled them to burn.  French chemist, Lavoisier, showed that oxygen was the key for fire (rapid oxidation) to burn.
   

Is evolution scientific?

No matter how you look at it, the theory of evolution must trace back to a point where inanimate matter became a living creature.  Look at the foundation of this theory.

• UNKNOWN CHEMICALS in the primordial past…through…
• UNKNOWN PROCESSES that no longer exist…produced…
• UNKNOWN LIFE FORMS that are not to be found…but could, through
• UNKNOWN REPRODUCTION METHODS spawn new life…in an…
• UNKNOWN OCEANIC SOUP COMPLEX…at an…
• UNKNOWN TIME and PLACE.

Is it any wonder why many scientists insist that evolution does not even constitute a bona fide scientific theory!
 
THE BIG QUESTION
 
Bible-believing Christians are often mocked by those who say:

“Prove your eternal God created all this!”

But what’s the alternative? Why not ask the scorner:

“Prove to me that atoms are eternal!  If God is not the Creator, how did the atoms get there?”

MYSTERIES OF EVOLUTION?
 
For any creation or upward development there are basically three things that are absolutely essential:
 
1.    A PROGRAM to direct the growth.
2.    A MECHANISM to energize the growth.
3.    A PROTECTION SYSTEM to sustain the growth.
 
Does change equal evolution?
 
Everyone who cares to study it can see that physiological changes sometime occur in living systems.  Some call this “micro-evolution.”    We must acknowledge that the amount of change is always limited within fixed “kinds.”   The commonly held belief in evolution can be more specifically called “macro-evolution.”   It requires more than minuscule mutations to produce all the different living kinds.  Indeed, TRANSMUTATION is the order of the philosophy, and that is the word that was used in the early 19th century before the word evolution became acceptable.

The Top Fourteen Reasons Why I Should Believe In Creation

A. Theological reasons to believe the God of the Bible ALONE is capable of producing the universe. (remember that the word “Universe” means “one word.”)

1. Jesus had confidence in the clear words of the Torah (thus Genesis) when He said in Luke 16:31 “If they do not hear Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rise from the dead.” Also, His endorsement of the reality of Adam and Eve from the BEGINNING, and not billions of years AFTER the beginning is clear in Matthew 19:4. There are many passages testifying to Jesus’ absolute endorsement on the principal of the inerrancy of the Holy Hebrew Scriptures.
2.  If Jesus is not all-powerful enough to be our Creator, there is no way He could be powerful enough to be our Savior. (John 1:1, 14, Col. 1:16 & 17)
3. Christian faith is based on the authority and integrity of Holy Scripture. So if we can not trust the foundational statements of Genesis to be clear, unambiguous, accurate, and totally truthful, there is no reason for anyone to place their personal confidence in other passages of Scripture upon which their hope for eternal salvation should rest. (Heb. 11:3, Rev. 14:7)
4. Paul’s preaching of the resurrection of Christ to pagans at Mars Hill was based on the premise that the same God was also CREATOR and SUSTAINER (LORD) of heaven and earth.
5. The cornerstone of Christian faith is the declaration of God’s law at Sinai, wherein the literal miraculous creation of God in six normal DAYS is the basis for the timeless order of the law of work and rest. Without this there is no explanation for the historic 7-day week that has transcended cultures worldwide from before the most ancient secular historic records. (Exodus 20:11)

B. Logical reasons to believe the Biblical account of creation is a better explanation for origins than evolution

1. Creation is intricately designed, integrated, purposeful, and full of aesthetic beauty. These attributes can only be satisfactorily explained by virtue of an intelligent, personal, meaningful Creator, since the only alternative is randomness with no purposeful, orderly cause.
2. The natural creation and all living creatures are filled with systematic information that cannot have originated by itself. Information requires intelligence. Increasing orders of information from simple levels
   of life to the most complex cannot be explained naturalistically because you can never get MORE information from LESS information.
3. To exclude the purposeful intelligence of the Creator from the creation requires one to believe that natural physical elements are eternal and that those elements, left to themselves over time, can randomly produce all the vast variety of living things. Such false reasoning is similar to expecting the chemistry of paper to produce the knowledge of the encyclopedia to be written on it without the external application of intelligent creativity.

C. Scientific observations that cause the creation explanation to make more sense than evolution.

1. Irreducible complexities in the most basic living systems demand an intelligent designer, creator and sustainer. Innumerable complex details must be simultaneously in place for even the most “simple” creatures or their organs to function at all. There can be no “incipient” (incomplete) immune system, reproductive system, digestive system, visual perception system, circulatory system, etc.
2. The Anthropic Principle, witnessed in thousands of ways on planet earth, clearly demonstrates that the creation is designed for life, and particularly man, to thrive here. Earth’s environment is so delicately balanced that even slight adjustments or deletions of certain features would make life and human life utterly impossible. A whole book could be written on this with chapters on the perfect order of features in the cosmos (solar system), the atmosphere, the earth’s chemistry, the geology, the hydrologic cycle, the synergy of life forms, the sizes of everything from tidal variations, to bananas, and the timing of everything from seasons and days to animal growth cycles and migratory patterns.
3. The computer-like code of all life called DNA, which carries the genetic information regulating every phase of all living systems, is so exceedingly complex that even pagan scientists have acknowledged their absolute awe at the miraculous marvel of its complexity.

D. General reasons why a thinking person should believe the Biblical account of creation rather than evolution.

1. The intricate order of nature demands an explanation. To deny the purposefulness of the Creator requires NOT FAITH (of the Biblical kind in a Supreme Awesome Designer) but GULLIBILITY in simplistic, humanly contrived concepts that ascribe powers to material objects that are totally impossible.
2. The rejection of divine creation (and its cultural implications of moral accountability) by much of modern society has led to a plague of meaninglessness, moral depravity, lawlessness, and the bloodiest century of death in all of human history.
3. Every aspect of evolutionary dogma is totally unsupported by ANY facts. Much of evolutionary scenarios are completely opposite to Biblical and scientific realities. Every evolutionary axiom and supposed proof has been thoroughly controverted by careful scientific exploration and examination. Many hoaxes of evolutionary scientists have been popularized by a seductive popular press for decades, only to be exposed and defeated by serious collective investigation.

Why Is It So Important to Be Confident in the Genesis Account of Creation?

Why Should You Teach A Genesis View Of Origins?
1. It is the primary truth targeted by the enemy in our sophisticated intellectual world to undermine confidence in God’s nature and His Word (2 Corinthians 10:5).
 
2. Jesus recognized one single essential for belief: to be absolutely confident in the foundational writings of Moses (Luke 16:31).  Remember that Moses wrote Genesis.
 
3. A study of created things in nature with an atmosphere of reverence for God is essential to avoid ultimate condemnation at the judgment (Romans 1:20).
 
4. We are assigned the responsibility to train our children to know about and praise God for the awesome works that He has made (Psalm 145:4; 66:3, 5).
 
5. An abundance of public information is either subtly or blatantly salted with atheistic, anti-creation approaches that deserve explanation and exposure.
 
6. Since one important activity of believers is to guard against deception, we must be especially diligent to teach regarding known popularly circulating lies (Colossians 2:8).
 
Note this well!  Evolution is not only the most widely spread deception the world has ever known; it is also the MOST DAMAGING deception the modern world has ever encountered!
 
Evolution is the foundational secular world view for every subject of study in public education!

• It is the atheistic religion of modern scholarship!
• It is the supposedly scientific justification for the widespread, gross immorality of our age, including permissiveness, drug abuse, abortion, pornography, and all the other deviant behavior going on today.
• It is the philosophical base of every cultic religion AND every tyrannical system.
• It is generally accepted by most of the educated leadership of the recognized so-called Christian churches of the world!
• It is the foundational belief of humanism and the springboard of new age philosophy!
• But most of all…. IT IS WRONG!! 
• It’s wrong because the facts of TRUE SCIENCE DISPROVE IT, but, more importantly, it’s wrong because it is DISPROVED BY THE UNCHANGING, LIVING WORD OF ALMIGHTY GOD!!!

Jesus said:

“If they do not believe Moses and the prophets, neither shall they believe though one rise from the dead” (Luke 16:31).

 In a generation, trained from Kindergarten through 12th grade to spurn Moses’ writings, should we be so surprised to see so little effect from the gospel?
 
Moses quoted God, saying:

“Six days you shall labor and do all your work…for in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea and all that is in them…” (Exodus 20:9, 11). 

The extensive material which I’ve presented in hundreds of places for thirty years in the seminars called Unlocking The Mysteries of Creation changes many lives for good.  They are shocked by the facts of God concealed by those “who suppress the truth in unrighteousness” (Romans 1:19).
 
But a weekend seminar is not enough.  With the constant deluge of blatant and subtle evolution propaganda, the families and children of our communities need much more.  What is needed is nothing less than local teams of Christian citizens, strategically devoted to the mission of using every available means to get the knowledge to the people.  To do it effectively will require God’s anointing and the most up-to-date communication skills available.
 
There’s a war on!  The camp of the enemy is fully arrayed to continue past deceptive maneuvers and even upscale their offensive through the media and educational system.  The army of God is challenged to train, to equip, to occupy, to destroy the works of the devil, and bear fruit that expands the kingdom of Jesus Christ.  How sad it is that many soldiers don’t seem to act as if there’s even an enemy.  Yet the devil keeps building intellectual and spiritual fortresses to guard his subjects from the liberation of truth.
 
SUMMARY
 
If we are ever going to see a change in our society for the good, we have to be prepared to think in terms of the “long haul.”  We must train people to train others; serve people to serve others; and lead people to lead others!  Without strategy for long-term victory, it is vain to think we can achieve any substantial fruitfulness.  The only reason evolutionism has such a strangle-hold on a supposedly objective academic world is because the people of God have been asleep for so many decades.  However, because God’s truth is a sharp two-edged sword, the reclaiming of young inquisitive and creative minds need not take so very long.  With determination, humility, preparation, and a game plan, a major turn-around could happen within a decade.  Will you be part of the answer?
 
Our collective ignorance is already the major part of the problem.  Why not decide to make a commitment to change that situation?
 
MAYBE WE UNDERSTAND A LITTLE MORE CLEARLY NOW WHY DAVID’S PSALM (145:4-12) SAYS:

“One generation shall praise Thy works to another, and shall declare Thy mighty acts.  On the glorious splendor of Thy majesty, and on Thy wonderful works, I will meditate.  And men shall speak of the power of Thine AWESOME ACTS; and I will tell of Thy greatness… The Lord is good to all and His mercies are over all His works.  All Thy works shall give thanks to Thee, O Lord, and Thy godly ones shall bless Thee.  They shall speak of the glory of Thy kingdom, and talk of Thy power; to MAKE KNOWN to the sons of men THY MIGHTY ACTS, and the glory of the majesty of Thy kingdom.  Thy kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and Thy dominion endures throughout all generations.”

AS THE PSALMIST INVITES US:
 
SAY TO GOD, “HOW AWESOME ARE THY WORKS!” (Psalm 66:3)
 
“COME AND SEE THE WORKS OF GOD, WHO IS AWESOME IN HIS DEEDS TOWARD THE SONS OF MEN.”  (Psalm 66:5) 

An encouraging prophetic word:

“Thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shalt be called the repairer of the breach, the restorer of paths to dwell in.”  Isaiah 58:12.

Why Is It So Important to Be Confident in the Genesis Account of Creation?

HOW COULD THEY DO SUCH A THING? 
A passage in Psalm 106 really used to trouble me.  It says: (vs. 36)

“they served their idols which were a snare (a trap) to them.  Yes, they sacrificed their sons and their daughters unto devils, and shed innocent blood, even the blood of their sons and of their daughters, whom they sacrificed unto the idols of Canaan; and the land was polluted with blood.” 

The Holy Spirit (our teacher) impressed upon me that we must not be too quick to condemn ancient Israel for such brutality.  In the light of eternal judgment, are we allowing our culture to sacrifice the sons and daughters of our generation on the altar of secular education and a mindset that ignores the mind of Christ?  Don’t you think we really need to look that challenge square in the face and be totally honest with ourselves?

WHY SHOULD WE GENTLY CORRECT THOSE OPPOSING THEMSELVES?
In 2 Timothy 2:25 we read:

“..perhaps God may grant them repentance leading to the knowledge of the truth, and they may come to their senses and ESCAPE FROM THE SNARE of the devil, having been held captive by him to do his will.”

AND JUST HOW DO PEOPLE GET TAKEN CAPTIVE BY THE ENEMY?
Paul tells us.  In Colossians 2:8 he warns:

“Beware lest any man SPOIL (or make you a captive) through philosophy and EMPTY DECEPTION after the traditions of men and not after Christ.”

Isaiah gives us further insight in 5:13. 

“Therefore my people are gone into CAPTIVITY, because they have no KNOWLEDGE.” 

And why could this be happening “therefore?” Read the preceding statement in the 12th verse:

“..They regard not the WORK OF THE LORD, neither consider THE OPERATION OF HIS HANDS….THEREFORE…”
WHAT ARE “THE WORKS OF THE LORD?”

Psalm 104:24,

“Blessed [is] that man that maketh the LORD his trust, and respecteth not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies.(verse 5) Many, O LORD my God, [are] thy wonderful works [which] thou hast done, and thy thoughts [which are] to us‑ward: they cannot be reckoned up in order unto thee: [if] I would declare and speak [of them], they are more than can be numbered.”

Psalms 111:2,

“The works of the LORD [are] great, sought out of all them that have pleasure therein.”

LET’S EXAMINE JUST ONE OF THE AMAZING WORKS OF GOD
 
Every food we eat requires a different enzyme to process and digest.  Every chemical reaction in the cells of your body requires a specific enzyme to interact with the protein molecules of the cells.  Enzymes increase chemical reactions within cells at an astounding rate, often millions of times faster than the reaction could happen on its own. An extreme case? One molecule of an enzyme called catalase is said to take apart 40 million molecules of hydrogen peroxide each second! These speedy reactions are absolutely essential for every living creature to survive.

The truly awesome reality is that enzymes are only manufactured in cells by existing enzymes.  Without those enzymes there to start with there could be no making of more enzymes.  And remember that every reaction and every protein and every food requires the manufacture of unique chemical compounds called enzymes that are pre-programmed to fit the need.  It’s been estimated that there are a couple of hundred thousand different types of protein in the human body.  And how many different kinds of foods can we put in our mouths?  Each requires its own customized enzyme.  And our body’s cells “knows” how to make them.  If it weren’t such a common occurrence the first time you and I witnessed such an astounding series of chemical reactions happening automatically would surely make us think we were witnessing a MIRACLE.
 
Again… what did Isaiah say gives us further insight in 5:13. 

“Therefore my people are gone into CAPTIVITY, because they have no KNOWLEDGE.” 

And why could this be happening “therefore?”
 
Read again the preceding statement in the 12th verse:

“..They regard not the WORK OF THE LORD, neither consider THE OPERATION OF HIS HANDS….THEREFORE my people are gone into CAPTIVITY, because they have no KNOWLEDGE.”

Some obviously are lacking knowledge because they’ve never had the opportunity to learn it, but all too many in the Western World have had much opportunity to discover the truth of creation and the truth of God’s entire Word but are more interested in entertainment, spectator sports and consumerism.  Priorities do predict behavior don’t they?

Why Is It So Important to Be Confident in the Genesis Account of Creation?

How are we to supposed to interact with blinded and ignorant people (even though they may be highly educated)?

What action points do you spot in these comments by apostles Peter and Paul?

1 Peter 2:15 “..by doing right you may silence the ignorance of foolish men”

2 Tim 2:25 “with GENTLENESS correct those who oppose themselves”
1 Peter 3:15 “Always BE READY to give an answer (make a defense) to everyone who asks you to give a REASON for the hope that is in you, yet with gentleness (meekness) and reverence (fear).”

Does that mean we must tell every hardened fool everything that’s on our mind or all we’ve learned about the topic? Consider the wisdom of Prov. 26:4-5

“Do not answer a [self-confident] fool according to his folly, lest you also be like him. Answer a [self-confident] fool as his folly deserves lest he be wise in his own eyes [and conceit].”

Note Jesus’ wisdom when He answered the foolish hardened Pharisees in Matthew 16:1-4: “show us a sign” and Matthew 21:23-27: “by what power/authority do you do these things?”

LET HIM WHO HAS EARS TO HEAR, HEAR THIS:
THERE IS NO TRUTH MORE FOUNDATIONAL TO ALL SCIENCE AND FAITH THAN THE REALITY THAT GOD IS THE CREATOR OF THE UNIVERSE! BUT THERE IS NO DECEPTION MORE PROFOUNDLY AFFECTING OUR GENERATION THAN THE HUMANISTIC FAIRY TALE OF EVOLUTION!

IN A SOCIETY RULED BY SECULARIZED THINKING, THE IMPLICATIONS OF THE CREATION/EVOLUTION CONTROVERSY MAKE IT THE BASELINE ISSUE UNDER ALL OTHER MAJOR ISSUES! IF CHRISTIANS ARE NOT PREPARED TO GIVE SOUND REASONS WHY THEY BELIEVE GOD CREATED, THEY ENDANGER THEIR YOUNG WITH INEVITABLE SLAVERY TO THE DECEPTION OF EVOLUTIONISTIC HUMANISM.

BUT MANY PEOPLE SAY “SO WHAT, I ALREADY BELIEVE GOD CREATED.”

Can you answer your own child’s innocent questions?

• Daddy, how come dinosaurs aren’t in the Bible?
• Are you sure man didn’t evolve from cave men?
• Is the earth really billions of years old?
• Couldn’t God have started the universe with a big bang?
• Where did the different races of people come from?
• How could Noah get all the animals in the ark?
• Don’t fossils prove evolution is true?
• and on, and on, and on, and on……..

Let’s keep in mind what the meaning of “Creation” is BIBLICALLY.

1. Without God (Jesus) nothing was made (John 1:3).
2. The Entire tangible and intangible universe has a definite beginning point (Genesis 1:1).
3. The origin of all natural and supernatural phenomena commenced by one supreme CAUSE.
4. It happened in six literal terrestrial/solar days (Exodus 20:9-11).
5. It began only about 6,000 years ago (Genesis 5 and 10).
6. Earth is central in importance in the cosmos.
7. Man is pre-eminent over all the terrestrial creation.
8. God is personally involved in man’s existence.
9. Genesis provides reason for the origin of:

• seven day week as a basis for time
• uniqueness of humans among all creatures
• dominance of humans over animals
• male and female completeness
• prayer and providence
• marriage and children
• sin and death
• man’s depravity and God’s remedy in redemption
• moral shame and the reason for clothing
• family unit
• cosmic objects
• diversity of life
• global flood
• Nations, languages, Israel, etc., etc…

It is clear from God’s Word that He expects His children (Christ’s followers) to not be passive when it comes to speaking up in support of the truth. If the truth is not proclaimed, there are too many enemies of the truth who will proclaim their lies with boldness and lead many more people into deception that leads to their eternal death.

The question becomes: “Are we being complicit to a hideous lie when we keep quiet about the truth? Next time be ready for the real shocker. I never dreamed the stakes are this high.

Why Is It So Important to Be Confident in the Genesis Account of Creation?

Who cares if people are ignorant? Some people have practically no concern for the safety of somebody who unknowingly is racing in a dark rainy night toward a bridge that is washed out. So what does ignorance really cause?

Who do you think the apostle Paul is writing about in Ephesians 4:18?

“..being darkened in their understanding, (they are) excluded from the life of God, BECAUSE OF THE IGNORANCE that is in them, because of the hardness of their heart..”

Do you suppose that the ignorance of many people is tied to a HARD heart in their inner man that is resistant to God? Do you know anyone who has a bad attitude toward God? In Ephesians Paul goes on saying:

“and they, having become callous, have given themselves over to sensuality, for the practice of every kind of impurity with greediness (4:19)”

Why are people ignorant of God and His power? Second Corinthians 4:4 says:

“…the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving,” (WHY?)
“that they might not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.”

Does that mean those blinded people have an excuse for their ignorance? Hardly! Romans 1:18 says:

“..the wrath of God is revealed…against all ungodliness..of men, who SUPPRESS the truth IN UNRIGHTEOUSNESS.”

WHY? Verse 19 says:

“because that which is known about God is evident within them; for God made it evident to them.”

HOW? See verse 20:

“For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, SO THAT THEY ARE WITHOUT EXCUSE.”

THE TANGIBLE EVIDENCES OF CREATION ITSELF STAND AS CONSTANT TESTIMONIES TO GOD’S VERY IDENTITY!

• THAT’S WHY THE PRIMARY TRUTHS OF ORIGINS IN GENESIS ARE ABSOLUTELY INDESTRUCTIBLE AND DEFENSIBLE!
•  THAT’S WHY JESUS SAID IN JOHN 5:47, “If ye believe not (Moses’) writings, how shall ye believe my words?” And in Luke 16:31, “If they hear not Moses…neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.”
• THAT’S WHY KING DAVID SAYS IN PSALM 11:3, “If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?”
• THAT’S WHY THE DECEIVER IS DESTROYING PEOPLE THROUGH SO-CALLED SCIENCE (1 Ti. 6:20) BY UNDERMINING THEIR CONFIDENCE IN GOD’S CREATION ACCOUNT.

Do you think much about the fact of what Jesus taught: “we reap what we sow?”

Israel’s King David wrote 3,000 years ago in the eleventh Psalm: “What can the righteous do if the foundations are destroyed?” What is the most important truth in the Bible? Don’t you think it has to begin with the most fundamental question: “Who is God?”

Think of some of the dreadful things that result when people leave God out of their life…

• political corruption
• personal crimes
• marital trauma
• child stealing
• satanic sacrifices
• teenage suicide
• militant perversions and the AIDS epidemic

How long could the list grow when you start thinking of the many crises of our society like abortion, euthanasia, rape, child abuse and irresponsible spending, leading to rampant bankruptcy.

What’s the ultimate root cause of all this? Read Proverbs 1:29

“Because they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the Lord.
They would not accept my counsel, they spurned all my reproof.
So, they shall eat of the fruit of their own way, and be satiated with their own devices.
For the waywardness of the naive shall kill them,
and the complacency of fools shall destroy them.”

And don’t miss Proverbs 1:7

“The fear of the Lord (not reverence to men far from God)… The fear of the Lord… is the beginning of knowledge.”

And just WHO is the Lord?  Take a look at what the prophet Isaiah wrote almost three thousand years ago (Isaiah 40:28).

“Hast thou not known?  Hast thou not heard?  That the everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth fainteth not, neither is weary? There is no searching of His understanding (He is wise beyond all thinking – Knox).”

It’s amazing to me how so many people today seem to relax with the excuse that they can’t ever be sure of who God is or even if He exists.  It’s not uncommon to hear many people smugly trying to sidestep a confrontation with God and you Christians by saying, “I’m an agnostic!”

Well, maybe we need to help them out a bit.  Do they know what they mean when they say that?

The word “agnostic” comes from the Greek word “AGNOEO” which simply means to be ignorant; in other words, to be uninformed, unlearned, unaware, or lacking knowledge.

So what is God’s will (his desire and his ideal plan) for people who are living in ignorance? There are several times in the Bible where the apostle Paul writes to Christians, saying: “I would not have you to be ignorant!” (Ro. 1:13, 11:25, 1 Co. 10:1, 12:1, 2 Co. 1:8, 1 Th. 4:13)

In the Old Testament, the prophet of Israel named Hosea was grieved over the fact of God’s really gloomy revelation that:

“MY PEOPLE ARE DESTROYED FOR A LACK OF KNOWLEDGE.”

Is it any less true TODAY? Just think for a while about the results of ignorance.  Even in very natural situations, if you’re ignorant that your food is tainted and you come down with food poisoning, it’s an example of being (in some measure) ‘DESTROYED’ for a lack of knowledge.

I’m sure you can think of a whole bunch of situations in life where even you ran into a destructive, hurtful or painful experience because of a lack of knowledge.

That’s what we’re talking about here, but far worse.  Next time we’ll see what God says about people who choose to be ignorant about the most important facts of life.
